This isn't a slam against Twilight, but I think so many people have taken them as inspiration and started writing passive, love-lorn creatures. Certainly there were others, but I want to kindly point them to characters like Jane Eyre: meek and quiet to others, but passionate in their thoughts and active in their decisions.
